Power Wire Resistance

This calculator shows the relationship between wire gauge, wire length, current, and voltage drop. The focus is on the main power wire from the battery to the ESC, but it should be noted that this does not take connector resistance into the equation, which increases resistance further.

10-12 AWG wires are normally used in R/C vehicles, but this calculator will show that it may not be enough depending on how much current is being drawn.
